Learning Together Education
Our team provides Montessori teacher education in several US courses, and internationally.
We are overjoyed to announce a new course in Africa, beginning in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and planned for other locations in West Africa. We plan to educate teachers who can then start Parent-Infant groups in their communities. Parent-Infant provides access to a Montessori environment and parent education on topics such as child development and nutrition. Families of all income levels may participate, and a healthy meal will be served each time they gather.
We are sending Montessori materials and tools to make furniture and more materials. If you'd like to support this program please contact us.
Online Infant Toddler Course Content
As of June 2020, Learning Together Education is providing content to Montessori Infant Toddler courses as they go online due to the pandemic. We provide Powerpoints, recordings, reading assignments, solo and group activities, relaxation exercises, and journaling prompts.
Content is developed by Dr. Darla Ferris Miller and Susan Tracy McDaniel to meet the expectations of accredited teacher education programs who may wish to use them.
Courses available include:
- Montessori Philosophy
- Early Childhood Overview
- Child Development
- Environmental Design
- Personal Growth
- Program Leadership
- Child, Family, Community
We have also created a group of Infant-Toddler instructors sharing video and photos to be used in courses and for virtual observations.
Parent-Infant Facilitator Training (PIFT)
